Watts, born 28 September 1968, is a British actress from the UK. When her
family relocated to Australia and she made her film debut with the film For
Love Alone (1986) and later appeared in three shows on television, Hey Dad..
(1990), Brides of Christ (1991), as well as Home and Away (1991) as well as the
feature film Flirting (1991). Watts was a failed actor when she first came to
the United States. She acted in films with a small budget and then was a
professional actress. She gained international recognition through this
character. Watts then portrayed a tortured journalist in the horror film The
Ring (2002). Because of her performance as a grieving mother , in the Alejandro
film 21 Grams, she was nominated to win an Academy Award for Best Actress. Her
star power has grown when she appeared in I Heart Huckabees (2004). King Kong
(2006), Eastern Promises ((2007)) and The International (2009). Watts received
nominations for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her part in The
Impossible (2012) as Maria Bennett. She was in films like Birdman (2014) St.
Vincent (2014) and While We're Young (2015). Watts was also a prominent
character in blockbuster film, appearing in Divergent (2015)-2016.
