Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Matchett (Canadian actress) is well-known for her roles in movies such as Apartment Hunting' and Men with Brooms'. Born and raised in Spalding, Saskatchewan, she later relocated to Alberta, Canada, from where she attended high school. The art of acting was something she learned about in her teens. To receive further training in acting, she attended the 'National Theatre School, located in Montreal and later attended the 'Moscow Theatre School.' In 1996 she made her TV debut as a role in the Canadian show 'The Rez. Also, she appeared on series like Ready or Not' and Forever Knight' that year. In the late 1990s, she made her debut in film with the film titled "Papertrail" and then acted in films such as "Men with Brooms" and "Cypher." Additionally, she played supporting roles in series like "A Nero Wolfe Mystery" and "Blue Murder." Although she continued to appear in films into the 2000s her films appearances were far less than those of her TV roles. She also played the role of Colleen Blessed in the 1998 Canadian drama series "Power Play. The show ran for two seasons with 26 episodes. The show received both commercial and critical acclaim. For her role in the series she was selected as a Gemini Award nominee. Jude Lyon Matchett was born to her in June of 2013. However, she didn't divulge the name of her son’s father. According to some sources, her ex-boyfriend is the father. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke and Kari Matchett began dating in the mid-1990s. The couple was married in 1998. The couple separated in the year 2006.
