Emily Swallow

American actor Emily Swallow, born December 18th 1979. She is best known for her roles in the role of Kim Fischer on The Mentalist and as Amara / the Darkness in the 11th season of Supernatural. She also played the Armorer in Star Wars' live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily played one small part in The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born on the 18th of December 1979 in Washington, D.C. Her family lived in Sterling, Virginia, as well as Jacksonville, Florida. While attending Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville and then at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville, she began to act in various amateur, college professional, and amateur theatre productions. Swallow obtained a bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Virginia in 2001. She pursued the course to pursue an MFA in Acting in New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Acting. She appeared in two world premieres: Donald Margulies' play The Country House, Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse; and Mark Rylance's show Nice Fish, at the Guthrie Theatre. In 2010, she won the Falstaff Award as best female performer for her role in The Taming of the Shrew. She also performed alongside Jac Huberman in Jac N Swallow's musical romance Poetry at the Manhattan Theatre Club. The show is based on the humorous mishaps of the two as they confront a myriad of life situations, each with their own unique degree of sanity as well as dignity.
