Melanie Jayne Lynskey

Melanie Jayne Lynskey was born 16 May 1977 in New Zealand. She is well-known for quirky, soft-spoken, but tough characters. She is primarily in films that are independent. Her achievements include a New Zealand Film Award, and a Hollywood Film Award and a Sundance Special Jury Award, along with Gotham Award, Golden Nymph Award, Critics' Choice Award and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations. Lynskey was a teenager murderess, who made her debut in a film in Peter Jackson's Heavenly Creatures (1994). After making the move to the United States in 1994, Lynskey began a successful career acting in supporting roles in a variety of big-budget and smaller-scale films, including Ever After (1998) and Detroit Rock City and But I'm a Cherleader (both 1999), Coyote Ugly (2000), Abandon and Sweet Home Alabama (1902), Shattered Glass (2003) and Flags of Our Fathers (2006). Lynskey received critical acclaim and an nomination for the Gotham Award for Breakthrough Performer for her starring role as a depressed divorcee The Goodbye I Must Be Going (2012) and proved to be a turning moment for her career. Lynskey's role as Rose on CBS' sitcom Two and a Half Men (1903-2015) earned her fame. She was the star of Togetherness from 2015-2016, where she was nominated by the Critics' Choice Television Awards for Best Supporting Actress. Megan and Beatrice played the roles for the Cartoon Network's Over the Garden Wall (2014). (2016-2018).
