Rena Sherel SOFER is an American actress from the United States. Her roles include daytime television as well as episodic guest performances and movies made for TV. In 1995, Sofer received a Daytime Emmy Award for her performance of Lois Cerullo in the soap drama General Hospital. Quinn Fuller has been her role in the CBS soap the show The Bold and The Beautiful since 2013. Sofer was born in Arcadia (California) to Susan Sofer and Martin Sofer. Martin Sofer is a Conservative Rabbi. Her family then moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, until when, following her parents' divorce,[citation needed] she moved with her brother and father David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in the year 1970. But, by the time Sofer was five years old, they resided in Western Pennsylvania. They were brought up in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She later attended the Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, which is coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high-school. Sofer was born in North Bergen, New Jersey. Her father was the rabbi of Temple Beth El. After graduation from North Bergen High School in 1998, she pursued her education at Montclair State College. Sofer initially appeared as Lois Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. Her first appearance came in 1993, as a manager of a band. However, her first role was that of Rocky McKenzie in the daytime soap opera Loving (1988-91). Sofer is perhaps best known for her portrayal of Lois Cerullo on General Hospital (December 15 1993 - September 24 1996). Then, she appeared as guest-starring on the show (February 7-17 1997 September 30th to October 2nd 1997). Her portrayal of the comical Lois received Sofer an award in the form of a Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for Best Supporting Actress in the Drama Series. Sofer was invited to join CBS' soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful in the newly created role as Quinn Fuller. Her first episode aired on the 12th of July. Sofer has been a guest as a cast member or guest in a number of prime-time television showslike Seinfeld and Melrose Place. She has also been a guest in The Chronicle, Ed and Friends. The first episode aired July 12.
